Cassandra Voissem is an Associate Attorney at Illinois Advocates, LLC, where she began working as a law clerk in 2014. Cassandra focuses primarily on civil litigation with an area focus on consumer litigation and tenant’s rights. In her first year of practice, Cassandra has worked on over fifty (50) landlord-tenant cases. She is well versed in tenant's rights under Illinois law and Chicago ordinance. Cassandra has also successfully helped many clients with their other consumer matters, such as achieving a loan modifications to prevent foreclosure, disputing fraudulent or incorrect reporting on credit reports and setting up payment plans for IRS debts. She has successfully defended an appeal to the Illinois State Courts. 

Cassandra obtained her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2016. She graduated with Certificates in Advocacy, Tax and Health Law. While in law school Cassandra was a student clinician at the Loyola University Chicago Federal Tax Clinic where she assisted low income taxpayers in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service.

Prior to attending law school, Cassandra attained her undergraduate degree in 2013 from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. She has a Bachelors of Science in Legal Studies as well as Criminal Justice. In her last year of undergrad, she was a paralegal at a law firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she specialized in debt collection and adversary bankruptcy proceedings. 

Cassandra was nominated for the Grand Valley State University Young Alumni Award 2016 for her success since graduation.

Cassandra is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Women's Bar Association of Illinois, and the Illinois State Bar Association.  

Cassandra is admitted to the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Bar.
