Karina is an Associate Attorney at the Illinois Advocates, LLC. Prior to joining Illinois Advocates, Karina handled a wide variety of legal matters including foreclosure defense, small claims, probate, property tax appeals, landlord tenant and employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliatory discharge and wrongful termination issues. Karina’s primary focus is and has always remained in divorce and family law matters. Predating law school, as well as, as a clerk, Karina has worked for various prominent firms concentrating in family law throughout the Chicago-land area. Through her legal experience, Karina gained invaluable knowledge and understanding of the issues involved allowing her to represent her clients with a special compassion during these mentally difficult times in their lives.

Karina is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. She received her Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While in law school, Karina took part in the Access to Justice Clinic providing primarily family related legal services to clients with financial hardships in Kent County. Prior to law school, Karina attended DePaul University as an undergraduate as part of the Honors program, having graduated with a degree in political science and psychology.

Karina is a native Russian speaker.
