NaVarrio Wilkerson is an experienced litigation associate at Illinois Advocates, LLC. While NaVarrio is experienced in a variety of civil legal matters, he mainly focuses in the areas of foreclosure defense, landlord tenant issues, contract law, and employment in federal and state courts. As a civil litigation attorney, NaVarrio has enforced money judgments, negotiated, and successfully settled cases in state and federal court.

NaVarrio is a member of the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Bar. In May of 2009, he received his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School. While at Wayne State University he clerked for the Michigan Tax Tribunal and worked with local nonprofit entities to develop 501(c)(3) status. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Policy and his specialization in Chinese language and culture from Michigan State University’s James Madison College is 2004.

After graduating from Michigan State University, NaVarrio worked as an English teacher for Harvard University’s first WorldTeach program in Hunan, China. There he was the first foreign teacher to participate in evaluations of native Chinese English teachers as well as the first nonnative teacher to participate in local meetings conducted in local dialects. He was awarded with the Outstanding Teaching award by China’s Ministry of Education. NaVarrio has leveraged his international study and work experience in China to assist clients resolve legal matters in Chicago.
