Ted Chakos is an associate at Illinois Advocates LLC. He focuses his practice on consumer litigation, landlord tenant litigation, and criminal law. Ted Chakos is a member of the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

In 2008, Ted received his Bachelors of the Arts degrees in Philosophy and Political Science from Binghamton University. Between undergraduate and law school, he worked as a parliamentary aide in the Knesset in Jerusalem and interned in the Helsinki Commission in D.C. During law school he clerked at the Miami-Dade Public Defenders and the Illinois States Attorney’s Office.

Prior to joining the team at Illinois Advocates, Ted Chakos handled complex commercial litigation, landlord-tenant work, and consumer litigation. He has successfully defended multiple temporary restraining order hearings and recovered classic cars in emergency replevin hearings. Ted takes an aggressive approach to litigation frequently turning defense into offense. His approach has resulted in favorable settlements for his clients.
