Thomas J. Lawler focuses his practice on civil litigation, ranging from personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits involving claims for medical malpractice, deaths and injuries arising from motor vehicle collisions, police misconduct, and premises accidents, to enforcing ordinances providing for the safety and well-being of the citizens of Chicago. Tom aggressively advocates on behalf of his clients to obtain an outcome most favorable to their interests and in the furtherance of a just result. To those ends, Tom is always willing to stand up for his client, whether his client’s claim may be resolved through settlement early in the course of litigation or only after bringing the suit to trial. In fact, Tom has tried to a verdict nearly 70 cases before a jury, with over 20 involving a claim exceeding one million dollars, and hundreds of trials to a judge.

Tom is licensed in both the State of Illinois and the State of Wisconsin, and has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, including the Trial Bar.
